It seems fitting that my first post here on Locals is sharing the release of Our Lady's Saint Song entitled "Mary Working Song."
I was originally inspired by the Disney idea of "merrily working" shared in Snow White & Enchanted. I thought certainly Our Lady swept and cleaned dishes merrily.
And then I realized, her day to day life was so much more than that. She was caring for the Son of God. Her Messiah. Her King.
Our Lady, Soverign Queen of Christians, pray for us.
Immaculate Heart of Mary, pray for us.
Our Lady of Perpetual Help, pray for us.
Our Lady of Walsingham, pray for us.
(If you missed it, Saint Song 1 is a FABULOUS one for children and adults alike: "I Rely Upon God." Inspired by Saint Joan of Arc's incredible courage and faith in the midst of problems (Elsa ain't got nothing on Joan).
Godspeed, friends.
Grace

I can't wait to get to know you. This is going to be good, true, and beautiful. 🕯️
A bit of a "bonus" due to the different musical genre (instead of cinematic Disney, think Elton John!) "All Things New" is inspired by the joy and hope of Saint Mary Magdalene after the resurrection.
Volume 1 of The Sound of Saints is releasing May 30th! I chose this date, the glorious feast of Saint Joan of Arc, because:
1. She inspired TWO tracks on this first album
2. School's out, so these songs can be my girls' summer jams!
Spotify users can presave the album right here: https://distrokid.com/hyperfollow/graceelaine/the-sound-of-saints-volume-1
YOU, lovely Locals member, will have access to these songs in advance of the rest of the Body of Christ. THANK YOU for being here and most importantly supporting this work through your prayers!
After much prayer and back-and-forth, I have settled upon a name for this album. Inspired by one of my favorite Catholic stories of all time, "The Sound of Music," these songs will be called "The Sound of Saints: Volume 1!"
The album cover is also coming along...here are a few iterations.
Keep DMing me your thoughts as this continues to unfold.
Hello, lovely patrons of beautiful Catholic music. A Blessed Easter to you and your families!
Mixing and mastering of the album's tracks are almost complete, which means I can finally share this thing. Here is the completed album art for what's shaping up to be my preschoolers' favorite track: "All Things New (St. Mary Magdalene).
